The Format Snails
The Format is THAT good! Good enough to share the stage with bands like Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday for a month long tour this past April. If you haven’t checked out their 2003 release Interventions and Lullabies now is the time to get it. The Format has created a five track EP, titled Snails, that features two brand new songs, “Janet” and “Snails” and acoustic versions of the previously released tracks “Wait, Wait, Wait,” “Tune Out” and “On Your Porch.” This exclusive EP is available at select retailers nationwide (as well as at shows and on-line. Check www.theformat.com for details) with the purchase of Interventions and Lullabies. The acoustic versions are music at its finest, pure art form. You just simply can’t go wrong with Nate Ruess’ sweet, distinct voice and Sam Means’ acoustic guitar. And fans who have been patiently awaiting the follow up to Interventions... will not be disappointed with “Janet” and “Snails.” “Janet” is a love poem from the road musically filled with guitar riffs and snare drums. “Snails” is a throw back to ‘70’s era music with a bit of alt-country twang. You’ll be singing this all day, make that all week! With these two new tracks by The Format we have a lot to look forward to for their next album. -Kimberly Dalton
